The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) pays social assistance grants, including the Disability Grant, Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant, and the monthly SRD Grant.

They are also responsible for Childcare and Foster Child Grants, as well as Veteran’s and In-Aid Grants.

All qualifying South Africans may receive a governmental grant.

However, South Africans must first pass a means test.

Here are the SASSA grant payment dates for June 2024.

SASSA grant payment dates: May 2024

Have you received May’s social grant payment?

All grants, including the Disability and Veteran’s Grants, have paid out by 7 May. However, you might still have to wait for funds to clear. Normal clearance times are between two to three days.

Check your status using the SASSA website if you haven’t received your payment.

Contact SASSA if you believe your grant hasn’t been paid out in time.

SASSA: June 2024 grant payment dates

Here are June’s grant payment dates, according to SASSA:

Older Persons (Pensioners) Grants pay on 4 June 2024. Disability Grants will be paid on 5 June 2024. Childcare and Foster Grants will be paid on 6 June 2024.

However, SRD Grants will only pay later in June.

Anyone without an income can ask for the SRD Grant, which is meant to help South Africans get back on their feet.

You can still apply for your SRD Grant.

However, it also requires the Means Test.

Applications are still open for the Social Relief of Distress Grant.

You can apply online by using this link.

However, you can also apply for it in person at regional offices.
